A 10 year Heehaw

Ten years ago

I was launching

a collaboration

with the Italian lingerie company

Cosabella

for believing in me

and choosing me

for this campaign)

to bring the first

ever

size inclusive

lingerie line

to the world.

I was married

and living

and working

in New York City

and Miami Beach

and I could

get a phone call

and be in Europe

for work

in twelve hours

without having

to ask anyone

or scramble

with my husband

to figure out

schedules

with children.

Here I am

ten years ago

on The Today Show.

I am so happy

that I lived

that life

so fully.

It brought me here

ten years later

multitasking a cat nap

with a dewy face mask

while my sick daughter

struggles for afternoon rest.

And here

at 5 AM

plucking thrown blueberries

off my keyboard

while I write to you

and here

having a movie night

snuggling our son

who’s still a boy

wondering

what will my life

look like

in ten more years?
