My Go To Travel Packing List for Families (Who Like Nice Things)
And don't want to leave their clothes behind
This is my basic packing list for 3 seasons out of the year. A cooler summer, autumn, and spring.
Emily (1-2 Large Packing cubes)
Dresses: 2 “Rory” style Frank and Eileen dresses, 1 Doen dress
Bottoms: 1 midi long skirt (beige/neutral/ capsule color that matches everything), 1 denim jean, 1 black tight for exercise + casual day outfit with a button up/ t-shirt/ jumper.
Tops: 1 oversized button down collared top (CP Shades beige), 1 larger/ oversized white button down, 1 high quality white t-shirt, 1 long sleeve striped shirt, 1 jumper (sweater/sweatshirt), 1 thicker long sleeve top (cream waffle top), 1 Raincoat
Accessories: 1 cute headband, 1 pair of earrings for dress up and everyday, 1 necklace, 1 sneaker that can be dressed up or down (New Balance Classic 327), 1 classic sandal (that can be worn with an outfit and to the beach or pool), 1 pair of sunglasses, 1 scarf (to elevate outfit, change a look, or warm neck), 1 hat for sun
Undergarments: 5 pairs of underwear, 3 bras, 3 pairs socks, 1 swimsuit, 1 pyjama
Dopp kit:
Makeup: Vintners daughter active botanical serum, RMS master radiance base bronzer, glossier cloud paint seamless cheek color, mascara
Health: deodorant, toothpaste family friendly, basic toothbrushes (throw away after travel), one floss pack, small nail clipper, Cerave baby shampoo and soap, Cerave baby lotion (Amazon ship Cerave products in advance to save space if possible), Branch Basics travel set, 1 diaper cream, 1 brush, 1 comb, 1 Innersense travel hair gel
Meds for family + children: Zyrtec Children’s, Zofran (prescription) for out of the country travel/ upset stomachs, (anything important that can’t be bought in country), inhaler, 2 epipen sets
Ollie (Boy, 6 yrs, 1 Large packing cube)
Bottoms: 2 Cadets shorts (navy, khaki), 2 thicker khaki short (J.Crew Crewcuts, navy, khaki beige), 1 denim long jean, 1 long khaki (navy), 1 linen long pant.
Tops: 3 short sleeve polos (navy, mid blue, white), 1 long sleeve polo (navy), 1 white long sleeve linen top (for dress up), 1 denim long sleeve, 1 gilet (vest), 1 button down jumper (sweater or sweatshirt), 1 cotton long sleeve (gray), 1 Raincoat
Undergarments: 1 swimsuit, 5 boxer briefs, 3 socks, 1 pyjama set
Accessories: 1 hat, 1 sunglasses, 1 sneaker
Morgan (Girl, 3 months, 1 Large Packing cube)
Outfits: 2 full body romper onesies, 2 Bubble rompers (one long sleeve one short), 1 pair of tights (ivory), 4 pajama’s, 1 matching long top and bottom (Oso + Me), 1 matching knit set (Oso + Me or Ralph Lauren), 1 cardigan (ivory), 1 swimsuit, 1 sun hat
Accessories: 3 sleep sacks, 3 socks (match to outfits), 1 hat, 2 thin swaddle blankets, 1 travel crib
Undergarments: Nappies/Diapers and wipes (ship ahead on Amazon)
Airplane bag:
Nappies/ Diapers and wipes, 1 burp cloth
Artipoppe baby carrier
1 Doona car seat stroller (checked at gate)
Clothes:
Baby: 3 pajamas (for overnight), 2 sleep sacks
Boy: 1 thing long sleeve shirt (in case of spills)
Food: 1-2 premade sandwich meals (for myself, depending on length of flight), 1 large Ziploc snack bag filled with snacks for everyone—Chomps meat sticks, baked edamame beans, fruit, nuts, dehydrated mango.

*Make edits based on season. For a hot summer, substitute long denim for a classic short. For a winter ski trip, add in the necessary layers and shells. I prefer the Patagonia 3-1 coats for everyone in family as they work in every season and type of weather.
