but the birds keep singing

outside my window

even with norovirus

and avian flu

every day

is another opportunity

to sing our praises

and glorify God.

wondering if

I’m walking through a zombie valley

in the shadow of death

by diarrhea diapers

and sleepless nights

and endless laundry

that now needs

stain removal.)

and watching Morgan sleep in my arms

thinking she looks older

and sunshine

and this spring dinner
